Sports Leaders
As part of the personal development curriculum, children have the opportunity to put themselves forward for a leadership role.
The role of a Sports Leader comes with many responsibilities. Sports Leaders understand that children should be physically active and try to get as much enjoyment from their physical endeavours as they can.
Through meetings with the PE Team, Sports Leaders help to make decisions that impact on break time, extra-curricular activity and competitive events as well as providing feedback on PE lessons.
The Sports Leaders also help to run our successful PE Library. This is where members of the school community can borrow sporting equipment from school to use over the course of the week at home.
In the summer term, our Sports Leaders help the school's younger children to take part in their 'Sports Day'. The Leaders will run games or work with groups of children to help them get the most of their day. Our Leaders receive training from the School Games on facilitating games, as well as from the PE Team.
