KS1 Curriculum Evening

A big thank you to those of you who were able to attend last night's Key Stage One Curriculum Evening, hosted by the KS1 Team.  

After a brief introduction, grown-ups were invited to go into the classroom of their child and see for themselves the exciting spaces that the children learn in.  Class Teachers were on hand to answer any questions and discuss what the children were learning about this half-term and beyond.

Below is a gallery of images that show how the classrooms were set up, demonstrating the types of activities children may complete during the school day.  The images also show resources teachers may use to support learning, as well as models and images that the children use to solidify their understanding. 

Teachers also gave paper copy hand-outs of this term's 'curriculum map', found on you child's Year Group page on our website. 

The event was supported by a stall from Usborne Books - where a carefully selected range of stories and texts were available to buy, that link nicely to upcoming topics being taught in school.
