Sele First Take One Picture Success!
Sele First School are delighted to announce that we have had our Take One Picture sculpture selected to be displayed at a National Gallery exhibition in London. Many of you will have walked past the life size tiger that was created by our current Year 4s and children who are now in Year 5. Our submission success is a tremendous achievement for the children and wider community of Sele First School.
For nearly thirty years the Gallery has been inviting primary school children nationwide to focus on one painting from the collection and respond creatively. The tiger submission was in response to Surprised! By Henri Rousseau.
The exhibition will be in Trafalgar Square where many other family friendly activities will take place between August 1st and September the 1st. More details are within the National Gallery press release below.
We are currently waiting to find out if the tiger will go physically to London or be part of their digital display.
