Y2 Maths - Position and Direction

In Maths on Monday, children began the lesson refreshing their memory of the key vocabulary they have previously learned.

With a partner, they focused on giving clear instructions that involved at least one of the key words. They gave instructions to their partner whilst they could see, then they asked them to close their eyes! Children spotted that their partner wasn’t as confident and it involved a lot of trust too!

In the following lesson, children used chalk to draw a clock face. They identified quarters and instructed their partner to do quarter turns both, clockwise and anti-clockwise.
