Year 4 Kennings

This week, Year 4 learnt how to write a kenning. We investigated the origin of kennings before writing one about ourselves. Everybody followed the rule of ‘noun, hyphen, verb’ to create excellent kennings. Finally, inspired by our Take One Picture, we wrote a kenning about a caregiver. In the poems, the children were able to reflect upon what they are thankful for in their daily lives and how their caregivers support them.
