Year One Footballers Win The Cup!

This afternoon, seven of our Year One children took part in a football festival at Queen Elizabeth High School, arranged by Sporting Journeys. The festival was for Year One and Two children from schools across Tynedale, with Corbridge, Beaufront and Broomhaugh joining Sele at the event.

After playing four matches, the team, consisting solely of Year One children were awarded 'most outstanding team.'  The children played with a real determined spirit and celebrated goals with passion! They defended resolutely and remained unbeaten throughout the festival.  A huge well done to the children for facing this challenge with real gusto and energy!

After the event, the boys each took turns having their photo taken with the cup, emulating their idols after a famous win at the weekend!
