Peer Mentors

As part of the personal development curriculum children have the opportunity to put themselves forward for a leadership role in school. Peer Mentors are aimed at KS2 children to take on a supporting role for others in school.

Our Peer Mentors completed external training from a member of the Be You team over the course of six weeks. They covered topics such as the role of a peer mentor, confidentiality and how to be a good listener. On completion of their training they received an AQA level 2 award.

Peer Mentors wear a rainbow coloured lanyard to be visible to others in school. They have been involved in delivering assemblies, whole school projects alongside supporting individuals.
