Magnificent Machines

This half term, Reception are learning about Magnificent Machines. Following their own interests, children spent the first week back investigating robots! They programmed Ozobots to follow a marked path along paper and used screwdrivers and wire cutters to dismantle broken technology and see how it works.

For their writing task, children invented their own robots with additional superpowers. There were robots that could shoot pizzas, score goals in the sky and 

Children used holiday recycling to make junk model robots and developed their fine motor skills with the use of split pins. This was a challenge but everyone persevered brilliantly.
