Hi, I’m Sidney and I’d love to tell you all about a book I recently shared with my grownups as a bedtime story.

 A dog, a zebra, a girl and a squirrel come together in this wonderful story to save a spectacular animal kingdom...

The Zebra’s Great Escape written by Katherine Rundell and illustrated by Sarah Ogilvie is a an active, lively story that will keep you entertained as you turn the pages. The illustrations are so inviting with colourful sketches that work with the descriptions to leave an everlasting memory.  

I think this book would be a great book to share with a grownup if you’re in KS1 or a fantastic book to read by yourself if you’re in KS2. 

There's a Werewolf In My Tent - Pamela Butchart

Hi, I'm Amy and I'd like to tell you all about this book that my sister introduced me to.

It's a story about a girl called Izzy and her friends who go on a school camping trip. While they are on the trip they start to suspect that one of their teachers could be a werewolf! Izzy and her friends set up a trap with some left over meat and are woken by a strange snuffling noise. The friends believe they have caught the teacher/werewolf red handed but are shocked when they find it isn't who they thought it would be...

I really liked that there's a character called Amy in the story who researches werewolves!

I'd say this book is really funny and an exciting book that would be good for confident readers in Y2 and above. 

Wishkeeper's Apprentice - Rachel Chivers Khoo

Hi, Im Chloe and I'm currently reading this with my sister and grownups.

This book is definitely an adventure story with lots of magic. If you read this at bedtime you might even dream about some of the magical wishes.

The story is about a boy called Felix who makes a very special wish, then ends up as the  wishkeeper Rupus Beewinkle's apprentice.

Felix has to save the town's wishes from the wishsnatcher, who wants to destroy hopes and dreams everywhere.

 There's some really good illustrations but some younger children may find them a little bit scary!

Daisy and the Trouble With Unicorns - Kes Gray 

My name is Daisy and I am loving reading the Daisy and the Trouble With collection...

I love this book because I think magical creatures are amazing and I really believe in unicorns. This book makes me believe even more. 

In this story Daisy goes to a birthday party. The birthday girl receives two fluffy, sparkly unicorns for her birthday but they keep Daisy very busy!

I've been reading this book in my reading den in my bedroom.

I'd say this is a funny story and also an adventure story.

This book would be good for children in KS1 and KS2 especially if you love unicorns like me!
