Storytelling Week

To mark National Storytelling Week, Reception read The Incredible Book Eating Boy. Children made puppets with which to tell their own tales (including tickets to come to the show), wrote about their favourite stories and made lots of lists. They used storytelling dice to tell jumbled up stories, change the endings and make ordinary stories funny.

At the end of the week children read 'Wanted! Ralfy Rabbit, Book Burglar'. They were surprised to discover that the story is set in Hexham! Lots of children talked about visiting the library themselves, just like Arthur and Ralfy do in the book.
