Year 3 - Nutrition
This week children have been looking at Nutrition in Science. We have investigated the Nutrition Facts labels of some foods and compared them with each other. Children identified the nutrients that matched with foods and how the nutrients help our body. We talked about how our body needs a range of food to remain healthy - if all we ate was carrots, we wouldn't be healthy!
Children talked about how there is no such thing as good or bad food, but some food can be more beneficial to our bodies at different times. A balance of the food types is important, be that within a meal, over a day or even a week!
