Year 4 History
Year 4 completed their wonderful Roman shields this week. Before taking them home, we learnt about the popular Roman tactic of using the shields collectively to create a ‘tortoise’ shell level of protection. The children really got into the characters of Roman soldiers while attempting the ‘tortoise’ on the Sele.
